In January 1961, Sigrid Paul gave birth to Torsten, a little baby who was vey injured during the birth, because he was born on east Berlin, where the medic equipment weren´t good enough. This baby suffered the political problems, as the wall divided Berlin. Torsten could survive because when he born east people still could go from east to west Berlin, so Sigrid took him to a West Hospital, were he was saved.
Second Entry
On 12 august, every changed, the wall was closed, they couldn´t go to the other side of Berlin any more, and Torsten got bad again, Torsten started coughing up blood and Sigrid took him back to the Charité hospital in east Berlin. There, a doctor named Schneeweiss did everything he could. He pumped Torsten's stomach, but he got sicker and his temperature got higher. Torstens only chance to survive was to go to West Berlin, and the only way was falsifing Torsten's papers and listed him as a heart patient.
